HEADLINE: LAPeeDee S.W.A.T. Team Wins World 3 Gun Tactical Championship
BODY: Magnificent shooters, all of them! Three hundred and seventy
four* of the finest teams in the world recently competed n the World
Three-Gun Tactical Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Every team was dressed in their finest regalia, “styling” in their
department-funded hotel rooms, having lots of fun in their casinos during
the lulls in competition. They deserve it though. The shooting is tough,
because it isn’t just shooting. It’s running between stations, loaded down
with tactical shotguns, AR-15s, their sidearms, and lots of ammunition.
Then, while huffing and puffing, trying to bring their sights onto the
targets, they are racing against the clock.
This is rough stuff, and only the best of the best competed this
year. Congratulations to our wonderful international SWAT Team
competitors! And, congratulations to our fine LAPeeDee S.W.A.T. Team, the
First Place winners and World Champions.
* (Editor’s Note: Through a series of flukes and amazing
coincidences, (after they accepted an accidental invitation), the arizona
rangers, a bunch of old farts from the boonies, finished in second place.)
